I have a completely different experience with this mascara, particularly the applicator wand. It has long soft bristles on one side, which I find perfect for applying the mascara to my upper lashes without them sticking together. It eliminates any need to brush them out with a dry brush to separate them. The other side of the wand has short bristles, which I find perfect for my lower lashes and tipping my upper lashes for enhanced length. I've been using this mascara for several years and love it!

This was the first Jane Iredale product I have tried. I think the mascara itself is probably good, but the applicator wand was completely frustrating to use. First of all, it has a flat bottom with the bristles on only a small area of the tip. You have to make sure it is in exactly the right position to touch the eyelashes. Secondly, the tip of the wand is bendable, not rigid. That ensures that you don't poke yourself in the eye, but it makes it nearly impossible to get any mascara on your lashes. I gave up and went to my local Nordstrom to buy a different brand.
